Day 1
Marina di Scarlino – Solenzara
Lift the sails early in the morning to face this intensive crossing. Solenzara is a small burg in South Corse, situated on the mouth of the river La Solenzara, that separates the rock coast of Nacres on the south from the flat coast on the north. Not to be missed: a walk among the streets and the alleys of the burg, to admire architectural beauties.
Day 2
Solenzara – Santa Manza
You are not so far from Santa Manza. The deep and tight gulf is perfect to have a safe anchorage. At the far end of it, high calcareous cliffs and big red rocks fall down on the sea. Not to be missed: the sunsets with extraordinary colours.
Day 3
Santa Manza – Cavallo island
Your next destination is Cavallo island. It extends for one kilometres in the trait of the sea between Corse and Sardinia, a stretch between the Strait of Bonifacio and the Archipelago La Maddalena. At first sight, it seems to emerge from the sea to create a magical dock for sailors. Not to be missed: in the island you can find villas of the protagonists of the international jet set.
Day 4
Cavallo Island – Lavezzi Islands
Move to Lavezzi Islands. Situated in the Strait of Bonifacio between Sardinia and Corse, this group of little islands are a wild paradise to discover. Here, there are a lot of beaches with an extraordinary naturalistic value and great beauty, scattered among small rock inlets. Pay attention: the islands hide many dangers.
Day 5
Lavezzi Islands – Santa Giulia
Point the bow towards the beautiful Santa Giulia. Its beach, between Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio, is one of the most famous of Corse, a little paradise corner really appreciated and visited. Many people come here to admire the beauty of the nature and the panoramas, which remind the ones of Pacific islands. Rocks and cliffs emerge from a turquoise sea and create a suggestive surrounding.
Day 6
Santa Giulia – Porto Vecchio
Release the moors in the direction of Porto Vecchio. Porto Vecchio arises in the heart of South Corse and it’s one of the most interesting destination of the territory, which can be proud of its extraordinary prosperity of naturalistic wonders: mountains fall down in the sea, creating lots of beaches, inlets and small islands.
Day 7
Porto Vecchio – Giglio (Campese)
Is everything ready for the crossing? Giglio is 82 miles far. Campese is beautiful during the sunset and Torre del Campese makes the view look like a postcard. The coast is jagged by cliffs interspersed with bays and inlets and with the beach of Giglio Campese.
Day 8
Giglio (Campese) – Giannutri
Giannutri is your next destination. It is a small paradise 500 meters large and about 5 kilometres long. It is visited in particular by divers attracted by its uncontaminated sea bottoms, full of fishes, corals and wrecks of ancient vessels to explore. The coast is rock and full of wonderful grottos and suggestive bays, with two small gravel beaches in Cala dello Spalmatoio and Cala Maestra.
Day 9
Giannutri – Porto Ercole (Cala Galera)
Sail to Porto Ercole and moor in Cala Galera. From the harbour you can walk along the promenade, which will surprise you with its bars, restaurants, and terraces with sea view. A tour among alleys, staircases and little squares of the burg that raise on the seaboard is necessary. Not to be missed: Forte Filippo, La Rocca and Forte Stella.
Day 10
Porto Ercole (Cala Galera) – Porto Santo Stefano
You can’t miss mooring in Porto Santo Stefano. This picturesque marine village raises on a bay dominated from the Spanish fortress and from the coastal towers, which reminds its troubled history. Not to be missed: a walk along Lungomare dei Navigatori and Piazza dei Rioni, ideal to have some relax.
Day 11
Porto Santo Stefano – Talamone
After breakfast face this short trait of navigation to Talamone, that will charm you with beautiful beaches, big pinewoods and crystal blue sea. Its inlets are very characteristic and the bay is perfect to every sail sport.
Day 12
Talamone – Formiche di Grosseto – Porto Azzurro
Weigh anchor to Porto Azzurro. Stop at the three small islands Formiche di Grosseto for a dive, which are real uncontaminated paradises thanks to the distance from the coast. Sea bottoms are very appreciated by those who love diving and rich of archaeological evidences.
Day 13
Porto Azzurro – Cala Martina – Marina di Scarlino
You are only 18 miles far from Marina di Scarlino and from the end of your holiday, that you will remember for the wind, the sail and the wonderful landscapes. Drop anchor in Cala Martina for one last dive and say goodbye to the limpid and crystal blue sea of the Tuscan Archipelago.
